Dr. Michel Azer completed a 3-year Periodontology and Advanced Dental Implantology speciality from Boston University. Following his graduation, he was appointed as Clinical Assistant Professor in post-doctoral Periodontology in the same program.

His areas of interest are cosmetic implant dentistry, full mouth reconstruction implant surgeries and treatment of gum disease. He lectures nationally and internationally on methods to maximize the aesthetic outcome in dentistry. His research on periodontal disease and diabetes was awarded the Richard Stallard Award for Outstanding Resident Research and was selected amongst four finalists nationwide for the prestigious Balint Orban Award. Dr. Azer is board certified in Periodontology and Dental Implantology. He is also a member of the Great Houston Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association Board, and a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology.
